Queen Bee Beeswax Food Wraps

Wrap up your food with a breathable beeswax wrap. The beeswax mixture gives the cloth natural antibacterial properties, slowing the rate of food decomposition, to optimise the life and flavour of your food.

These wraps are biodegradable, so once you are finished with them, simply cut up and compost. Cut down on single use plastic cling film with these natural beeswax cotton food wraps.

The waxed cotton is malleable and slightly sticky, so you can seal in the flavour and cover your plate of food, wrap up your cheese or loaf of bread, and use the lunch pack for your sandwich and snacks. Use the warmth of your hands to shape and seal around your food or container.  All our beeswax wraps are handmade in East Lothian, Scotland.

Made with pure beeswax, natural tree resin & jojoba oil, which is melted and infused into cotton fabric.

XXL: Perfect size for bread, salad leaves and plated food.

Large: Cover a large bowl, dish, wrap celery, cheese, sandwich, bread. Cover a plate of food or cheeseboard. Perfect for building your sandwich, wrapping and then using as a place mat.

Medium: Preserve cheese, herbs, fruit , cover bowls, jars, snacks

Small: Keep fresh half a lemon, avocado, end of a cucumber/courgette. Seal a small jar or bowl.  Wrap up your dog treats.

Washing and care:

Hand wash your beeswax food wrap, like a plate, in cold water using an alcohol-free washing up liquid like Ecover, Bio D or Method (alcohol based washing up liquid will slowly dissolve the beeswax). Leave to air dry, roll up and store ready for next use.  Keep out of the dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, tumble drier or other hot surfaces!  Freezer-safe up to 1 month.

Refreshing/restoring your wrap: after a few months use your wrap may become less sticky, creased and not looking its best. Place the wrap on greaseproof paper, in a 100°C oven for 1-2 minutes to melt the wax. Remove from the oven, carefully, and quickly pick it up by the corners with tongs, wave the wrap back and forth for 30 seconds to allow the wax to set, then hang it up to cool for 5 minutes; your wrap will look shiny and new.
